30,000km Rugby Road to RWC 2011

For a detailed look at our route plan- click here. However, in summary our route weaved through Europe, taking up invites and offers of rugby wherever we could. Crossing West into East through Turkey, we followed the Black Sea and continued into the plains of Azerbaijan in Central Asia.

Forced to divert to the 50 degree heat of the U.A.E we headed straight to Lahore in Pakistan, before gettng our hill legs in gear as we crossed the Himalayas into the vast deserts of China. Reaching the sea after months of minus 25 degrees, we crossed into a snowy Korea and wondrous Japan before reaching the fantastically hectic Hong Kong! Following the Mekong River in a rather sweaty Laos and Cambodia, we discovered a hotpot of rugby community projects.  Next stop - Oceania.
